1. Reality is Amazing As I sat in a corner of a chinese resteraunt the other night me and my favorite gal pondered about the dozens of other tables occupied by dozens of other people in the resteraunt. To us our coversation was the center of the world, all we knew and all our sences, thoughts were focused on our conversation. But, the realization we made was that everyother person and every table had the same sensation. That their conversation wiht the two or three people was the center of the world. Thye were having there own thoughts, sensations and realizations at the same time we were. To them we were just another person in the resteraunt. Each patron had there own historu, their own future there own thoughts and preferences, there were dozens of completely independent yet interacting worlds within feet of each other, but we all really knew nothing of the others existence. And through the moving and the pondering of all the se dozens of individual worlds, hundreds of independent phical and mentals activies were taking place instantaneously, no one got hurt, no one got angery, no one seem a bit confused or disoreintated. With all this indepentent activity going on we all got feed, all digested our food,paid the bill and went home. And te amazing thing is this goes on millions of times every minuite of every day and we hardly ever stop to think and pause at the incrediable amoutn of activity and thoughts and energy that is occuring around us unflawed, uninterupted and seamless through out every second of every day. Why more bizarre accidents or violent and unexplianable mishapps don't occur is really what is amazing. In stead of always focusing on th eone murder or car wreck, we should occasionally focus on the millions of non-murders, of smoothly driving cars, on mail that does get their and planes that do land. The norm is mormal we forget it exsits and take it wholly for advantage. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
